About Dr. Kevin Shrock

Kevin Shrock, MD Kevin B. Shrock, M.D., has been dedicated to treating orthopaedic patients in the Broward County area since 1994. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and fellowship trained in sports medicine. His expertise includes arthroscopic and complex reconstruction of the shoulder and knee, trauma and fracture care as well as joint replacement including younger, more athletic patients. He employs the latest in minimally invasive techniques and technology, including knee cartilage restoration and transplantation, partial and mini-incision joint replacement, and reverse shoulder replacement. After receiving a B.S. in molecular biochemistry and biophysics from Yale University, magna cum laude, Dr. Shrock received his medical degree from Stanford  University Medical School. He completed his internship in general surgery at Northwestern University/McGaw Medical Center and his residency at the Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program. He then completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine with Douglas Jackson, M.D., past president of both the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has been practicing in Broward County since 1994. Dr. Shrock is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Florida Medical School in Gainesville, Florida, and also at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Previously, he served as Chief of the Orthopaedic sub-section at Broward General Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also an Active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, Broward County Orthopaedic Society, Fort Lauderdale Surgical Society and the Broward County Medical Association, among other organizations. Community service remains one of his priorities. He has twice been elected to the Board of the Florida Orthopaedic Society where he continues to serve his colleagues to improve the delivery of orthopaedic care throughout the State of Florida. A 3-time Ivy League and New England All-Around gymnastic champion at Yale, Dr. Shrock currently serves as a staff orthopaedic consultant for the USA Gymnastics Team. Additionally, his knowledge of trauma and general orthopaedics made his presence invaluable in Haiti immediately after the 2009 earthquake. Finally, he has served in various Board and committee positions for various local organizations, most notably, for the David Posnack Jewish Day School.
